Main components:

  • Phenols: eugenol ≈80%
  • Esters: eugenyl acetate ≈10%
  • Sesquiterpenes: β-caryophyllene ≈5%

Indicated for:

  • Toothache
  • Gingivitis

Uses:

Topical route: Apply 1-2 pure or diluted drops (depending on mucosal tolerance) on a gauze, cotton, or cotton swab and apply to the affected gum or tooth area. Leave for about 5 – 10 minutes and remove the gauze/cotton.

Indicated for:

  • Muscular pain, neuralgia

Uses:

Topical route: Add 1 or 2 drops in pain formulations. Dilute properly.

Dermocaustic: Apply diluted according to skin tolerance. Uterotonic: May stimulate uterine contractions. Contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and for children under 6 years.
